My current research focuses on the incipient loss of white ash (Fraxinus americana L.) due to the invasive Emerald Ash Borer (Agrilus planipennis). I am interested in the ecological consequences of its expected extirpation in New England forests. Specifically, I am investigating how subcanopy plant and invertebrate communities differ by canopy tree species to better predict how these communities will be affected when ash trees disappear.
