Prof. Lee Witters receives the Elizabeth Howland Hand-Otis Norton Pierce Award

Prof. Lee Witters, Eugene W. Leonard 1921 Professor of Medicine and Biochemistry, Geisel School of Medicine; Professor of Biological Sciences, has received the Elizabeth Howland Hand-Otis Norton Pierce Award for a Faculty Member Who Is an Outstanding Teacher of Undergraduates.   As a physician, researcher and professor, Prof. Witters has been teaching for forty-seven years.  He sees himself "not as a teacher, but as a learner with students, looking through a window with them at the wonder of human biology and helping them learn how to learn."  To read his interview with Dartmouth News, please click here.
