The Ghosh Lab studies animal behavior to identify general principles of how nervous systems work. We leverage an integrative approach spanning molecular genetic to ecological analyses to understand how a relatively simple and experimentally accessible nematode roundworm Caenorhabditis elegans navigates its environment. Through these efforts, we hope to discover fundamental neurobiological processes that help animals navigate daily life.
